Dr. Serbin graduated from Albright College in 1969 and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1976. He completed his Family Practice training at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1979 and has been Board Certified in Family Medicine for more than 40 years. Dr. Serbin has been practicing in the same location since 1979 and, since then, has tallied more than a quarter of a million patient encounters. For many years he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the USC School of Medicine, and for 16 years, he was Director of Occupational Medicine for the Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Division – Columbia. Dr. Serbin was Chairman of the Family Practice Department at Baptist Hospital as well. He has trained or managed countless medical students, residents, physician extenders, and doctors. His special interests include General Medicine, Geriatrics, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Serbin has served on the Boards of many local, national, and international philanthropic organizations and has received numerous awards for his community work.
